Les Grands Ballets, recognized for its excellence, creativity and daring, is acclaimed on stages around the world. In recent years, the company has performed across Canada, in Europe and in Latin America.
In 2019, the Tel-Aviv tour will mark a return to the Middle East, where Les Grands Ballets last danced 10 years ago. At this time, and for the first time, the dancers will perform at the invitation of the Israeli Opera on the stage of Tel Aviv Performing Arts Centre, which welcomes one million visitors annually.
It is the Broadway-style original creation Vendetta : Storie di Mafia, that spectators will applaud on February 27 and 28 and March 1. The narrative piece by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa shows off the high calibre of the troupe’s dancing as well as considerable acting talent in the convincing portrayal of a variety of colourful characters. Three families confront each other in this ballet inspired by Italian Mafia series based in Chicago.
