The sketches feature the costumes for many of the production's main characters (Mother = Мать ; Son = Сын; Man = Мужчина; Woman = Женщина; Father = Отец), as well as examples of the corps de ballet costumes (Sportsman = Спортсмен; Sportswoman = Спортсменка).

All the drawings refer to the first act of the ballet, dedicated to Anna Akhmatova.
