Be a part of Édifice Wilder... for generations to come
February 13, 2019

Since 2017, Les Grands Ballets have made their new home in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles, in the Édifice Wilder : Espace Danse building. Since moving to this new space, one that suits the breadth of the company's talent, with an infrastructure that meets international standards, Les Grands Ballets are more inspired than ever to keep on creating the best of dance within this optimal surrounding.

As an added benefit and a longtime dream of the company, Les Grands Ballets now offer a wide range of services that enable Montrealers to share in enjoying its magnificent headquarters in downtown Montreal. Notably, the recreational division Les STUDIOS allows the general public to dance, move and let go with dance and fitness classes. Created according to Les Grands Ballets’ standards, the classes are often taught by dancers and alumni of the company. The National Centre for Dance Therapy (NCDT), a research and practice division of Les Grands Ballets, is dedicated to the promotion of dance/movement therapy (DMT). The NCDT, which combines clinical research, training and therapy, aims to improve the well-being of individuals through the benefits of dance, thereby reinforcing the utility of this art form for the community. Édifice Wilder also hosts the Studio-Théâtre des Grands Ballets, a fully equipped theatre dedicated to creation, allowing the company to present free rehearsals, classes and shows to the Montreal audience, among other activities. The building also counts an atrium for hosting festive events and, coming soon, a café.

A major campaign was launched with the objective of raising $25.8 million dollars. As of today, over 230 names adorn the wall that greets all those who enter the building, as a public recognition of our donors.

Make a donation of $1,250 or $5,000 and inscribe your name, honour a loved one or mark a unique event by selecting one of the limited spaces on our Recognition Wall, located in the Great Hall.
