What is it?
Essentrics™ training is a lubricating care regimen for your joints. The more you do it, the more the synovial fluid feeds the cartilage of the bones that absorb the shocks associated with high-intensity sports and certain repetitive day-to-day movements. This technique is effective in both preventing and healing injuries.

What is a typical class like?
With finesse and precision, Marie-Eve* explains to us that by applying techniques inspired by ballet, we will use our muscles in order to improve our flexibility. She then has us work on our eccentric muscle contractions (giving the technique its name), which involve strengthening our muscles while they are elongated. The result is a dynamic stretch that builds strength and relieves joint tension.

During the class every muscle is put to work, using bungees and participants’ own body weight. The movements are broad, controlled and non-impact, protecting the joints.

Through ESSENTRICS™, participants gain greater agility and greater speed in disciplines where speed is a factor, in addition to improving their posture and acquiring a stronger and more graceful, dancer-like body.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned athlete, ESSENTRICS™ is a perfect complement to any sports training program. Once you’ve had a taste of what it can do for you, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without it!

*Marie-Eve has since been replaced by Vahé Yegoyan.
