Dance-Therapy for Adults: 50 Years + is a class is designed to encourage movement, improvisation and creativity among participants.

Hailing from the National Centre for Dance Therapy's first research project, held from 2013 to 2016, the class was created at the request of participants who greatly appreciated the concepts developed in the project's experiments. To this day, many participants who took part in the initial project still enthusiastically follow this class, which began in Les Grands Ballets' former offices before continuing, and improving, after the company's move to Édifice Wilder. Over time, it also became very important to offer a class that could be particularly adapted to those suffering from chronic pain.

In addition to the physical and creative aspects of the class, the social aspect is also given great importance. Each week after class, participants are even invited to share and exchange over a cup of tea, a social initiative that developped naturally from the group. Dance is particularly beneficial when compared to any other physical activity and results show that for equal physical impact, dance, with its playful and creative groundings, is more effective at reducing participants stress levels and at encouraging them to maintain good habits over a longer period.
